Historical Novel Society International Award

This is an award for unpublished historical fiction novels. To be eligible, your work should neither be under contract nor option. Any type of historical fiction is allowed.

The entry fee is $25 ($15 HNS members) and the closing date for entry is 30 September 2012. Submission is through the HNS website.

To qualify as a novel, your book must total at least 60,000 words. Novels submitted should be no longer than 150,000 words.

The top prize is £5000 ($8000) plus e-publication (to include professional copy-editing and cover design).

The winner is to be announced by 11 March 2013
